'Fantastic choreography' - Bruce Forsyth

'Every woman in the world should have half an hour with
Anton Du Beke' - Lesley Garrett

Best known for starring in BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing, Anton Du Beke has made ballroom queens of celebrities Lesley Garrett CBE, Esther Rantzen OBE, Patsy Palmer and Jan Ravens on the hit TV series.  He reached the semi-finals of the first series, with Lesley Garrett and also danced in the Christmas Special: Champion of Champions.

Witty, charismatic and a natural entertainer, Anton’s skills in front of an audience extend far beyond his exceptional ballroom talents. That’s not to underestimate his national and international achievements, as he and his professional partner, Erin Boag, are officially rated in the World’s top 24 Ballroom Couples and have danced together for nearly ten years.

Anton teamed up with Lesley Garrett once again in 2004, for a gala concert in Leeds, broadcast on BBC2 which also starred Ruthie Henshall and Michael McCarthy. In 2006, he choreographed and took part in BBC1’s live Dancing in the Streets  event – searching the country and auditioning potential dancers – before performing with them in Trafalgar Square.  He was also part of the BBC 2 drama documentary King of Waltzes about the history of the Strauss family, and was a guest presenter on the BBC 1 live daytime show City Hospital.

Anton has also made TV guest appearances on BBC1’s Celebrity Star Spell, Test The Nation, Celebrity The Weakest Link and ITV1’s Loose Women and GMTV. He has recently competed in the new BBC2 series Underdogs and was a featured coach and choreographer in the new Brian Conley series Let Me Entertain You. He has appeared live in concert with Claire Sweeney and Bonnie Langford and also thoroughly enjoyed presenting a show on BBC Radio Oxford in 2006.

Having danced since he was 14 years old, Anton has collected a number of worldwide and British awards and achievements in Ballroom Dancing.  He has also trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz and modern theatre dance.  Anton and Erin are the theatre choreographers for the hit live show Simply Ballroom and made a special guest appearance in a gala performance at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in 2006.

As well as the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, Anton continues to train and teach in several studios in London and the UK, and regularly performs in live shows and special events around the world.
